As you can all probably tell from my name, my favorite tribe from populous is the Matak. I just love their shaman graphic and how their buildings look. In multiplayer, I like to use the Matak's spells like erode and earthquake to completely devastate the opponents land limiting their building space. I like to play on the Populous reincarnated matchmaker but i still have yet to master the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Ikani
The Ikani tribe is the unofficial name for the Blue tribe; some players have speculated that this was the name that the developers were thinking of naming this tribe, though it seems the developers will even say that the Blue tribe is nameless. In terms of coding, the Blue tribe is called the Player tribe as seen in Single Player saved games. In Single Player, this is the tribe that the player takes control of to aid the Blue Shaman on her quest, to destroy her enemies and become a god.

Dakini
The Dakini are probably the most powerful enemy in Populous. When the player fights the Dakini, they have (50% of the time) their camp entirely complete.

Vault of Knowledges
The Dakini had multiple powerful and useful Vault of Knowledges. Their Vault of Knowledges contained tornado, firestorm, Angel of Death, and volcano. Their Vault of Knowledges also contained the Warrior Training Hut and Firewarrior Training Hut.

Invasion of the Dakini
When the Dakini attacks they use a good strike force. On a mission like Archipelago the tribes use boats for a heavy attack, in that mission they also attack early.
A Dakini attack force mostly has 4 Preachers, 6 Warriors and 6/8 Firewarriors.

Chumara
The Chumara tribe is popular for being on islands by themselves in Single Player. They are known for their use of preachers as well as some uncommon (by online standards) tactics to achieve victory.

They are on a island to themselves in levels:-

*7: Unseen Enemy
*9: Fire In The Mist
*11: Treacherous Souls
*13: Aerial Bombardment
*14: Attacked From All Sides
*15: Incarcerated
*18: Head Hunter
*22: Solo
*23: Inferno

In level 19: Unlikely Allies the Chumara and the Blue Tribe are allies.

Vault of Knowledges
The Chumara's Vault of Knowledges contain "tricky" spells and buildings. For spells, their Vault of Knowledges contain invisibility, hypnotise and Magical Shield. For buildings their Vault of Knowledges include the temple and Spy Training Hut.

Matak
The Matak are the green tribe in the game. They are usually the weakest on worlds where all 3 enemy tribes are found.

Vault of Knowledges
The Matak Vault of Knowledges include earthy spells and one very important building. For spells their Vault of Knowledges contain erode, swamp, lightning, swarm, flatten, landbridge, and earthquake. For the building the Vault of Knowledge contains the Guard Tower.
