Braves are the workforce of your tribe; they will build, repair and upgrade constructions, collect wood, generate the most mana, train as [[preachers]], [[warriors]], [[firewarriors]] and [[spies]] and build ships and balloons. They are poor fighters and twenty can easily be wiped out by two or three [[warriors]] and must attack in numbers if they wish to overwhelem a [[shaman]]. Braves can be gained either through breeding or converting [[wildmen]] via the [[Convert]] spell.

It is a good idea to keep a number of braves in your viilage so as too keep it in order and to provide reinforcements if needed.

Huts are very usefull for followers. They can make [[Brave]]s when you put followers in the hut(except in the begin of the level). The breeding and upgrade rate is dependent on the number of followers you have in it, the more followers you have the faster it gets, all in all a hut may upgrade twice and hold up to five followers. [[Firewarriors]] placed in huts may fire out of it when enemies approach and your [[shaman]] may cast spells nearby.

[[Firewarrior]]s are created by training [[Brave]]s or any other Follower in the [[Firewarrior Training Hut]]. These [[Followers]] are slower and weaker in hand to hand combat than [[Warrior]]s. They do, however, have the ability to cast the [[Blast]] spell and they can target buildings or the Enemy [[Followers]] from a distance. Like [[Warrior]]s, they will not perform any menial tasks, such as construction, and are best suited to Guarding or Fighting. Give them an advantage by placing them on hills or in towers, balloons or boats.

[[Preacher]]s are created by training [[Brave]]s or any other Follower in the Temple. When [[Preacher]]s are standing idle, they worship your name and chant passages from your Holy Scriptures. If an Enemy Follower hears them, they will be entranced and will sit and listen to the [[Preacher]] praising your name. After a while, without interruption, the Enemy Follower will be [[Convert]]ed to your cause. [[Preacher]]s will not perform construction tasks and, although you can command them to guard, they will only preach when an Enemy Follower approaches. They are happiest when extolling your word but do not have any effect on the Enemy [[Shaman]] or [[Preacher]]s.

You will first encounter preachers on the second level of the game (at least on the PS version) amongst the [[Chumara]] tribe. The easiest and most ideal way to combat preachers is to cast a [[Swarm]] spell at him, thus causing him to panic and interrupt his preaching. This will allow any of your tribesmen being converted by the preacher to suddenly realise who their real [[Shaman]] is and attack the preacher for heresy. Another good way is too send multiple preachers and/or your [[shaman]] over to attack the enemy preacher and, the additional preachers can reconvert any of your tribesmen he managed to talk over. The last way is to send [[firewarriors]] after him to attack from a distance.
