Making an Article

First type the article name in your search box and press go. If the article does not exist you may click create page and start typing.

Editing an Article

If you feel something is not right or you want to add something to an article, go on the article and press the edit tab at the top. Main pages like About or the Main Page can not be edited by standard users. If you think they should be changed, contact a SysOp.

Wiki Formatting

Headings

To use headings you use a certain amount of (=)s. To do a standard heading use 2 =. Then a sub heading would be 3 = and you can keep getting smaller.

Heading 1
Some of the common formatting can be applied using the buttons at the top of editing page. For Example, Bold, Italic, Wiki Link, External Link, Level 2 Headline, Image. For more information about formatting text see Wiki Markup.

Images

You can add a centred image by putting

in the edited text. Save the page, then click the link to upload the image. For more information, see Picture tutorial.

What makes a good Article

  • When making an article remember not to include yourself as first person. This means do not put I. You must not post opinions or use the Wiki to have arguments, but there is room to describe various developments and the approaches taken by their developers if you wish.
  • Link all the keywords to their articles. Example if you include Firewarrior in one of your articles you can put
    Firewarrior
so that it links to that article. If you want to put Firewarriors, you use
    Firewarriors or Firewarriors

What Shall I Make??

Good ideas can be anything to do with Populous. You can write an article about any object, strategy or phrase, just make sure you have enough to write about it. We are not trying to remake the Populous Help, but add useful tips and strategies. People can submit Wanted Pages to give page creators ideas.

User Pages

You can also create your own user pages if you are mentioned in the articles. To link a user's name in an article use:

TedTycoon
