Sidedooring is when your enemy connects to your base by making a Landbridge over water. Usually there is another way into your base, though, and the sidedoor is just used to catch you off guard.
If you manage to fend off the attack then the Landbridge is easily defended once you get some firewarriors and preachers over to block it off.
