Game Version Comparison Table
The following table shows the main differences between the existing Populous versions: 1.03, 1.5 (also known as "beta" or "enhanced"), and MV (multiverse). Note that the official patch by Bullfrog is 1.01, but 1.03 will be shown here instead - the differences being:

- ↑ 1.03 is basically the official Bullfrog's 1.01, but improved by PopRE, with bug fixes, including the network 'hosting bug', making the game run without CD, and others.
- ↑ Does no support HW mode, but has some elements, such as moving skies and lava.
- ↑ Supports playing as/ against the other 4 tribes with a mod, and also supports 'skinning' when modding (still only 4 tribes).
- ↑ resolutions above 1080 might cause artifacts/crashes
