Burn was a spell used in the Populous: The Beginning alpha version, this spelled allowed the player to burn trees without explosive power (ex. burns the enemy trees). A theory to why this was removed happened later on in the development Bullfrog Productions decided it was best to burn trees with spies. That's the death of the spell "Burn"; The spell is still available to use in single player but modifications will need to be made in order for this to happen.
