Lightning is a powerful spell that can partially burn down huts or kill any follower in one shot. Due to the range and damage of the spell, it is a good one to use on enemy Guard Towers and shamans (its a waste of mana to use on guard towers unless you are desperate, ghosts are cheaper or tornado's are better for complete destruction).
Note: If you cast lightning on your shaman, she will not be affected. However, if you cast it on a different follower of your own or a hut of your own, the hut will burn or the follower will die.
